NH90 Supportability Data Exchange Reliability Assessment System provides a reliability analysis tool generating experienced failure rates of different NH90 components. Figures are based Participating Nations’ information on maintenance tasks and failures admin data of parts and equipment.
Reliability figures are calculated as these concern uniquely defined items, with no differences in national definitions of underlying parameters (e.g. flying time, maintenance man hour, etc.). SDE contains provisions to extend towards Availability and Maintainability, in the future.
Each Participating Nation is tasked to provide input data for the SDE RAS module. The system is designed to minimize manual input. Therefore, a B2B interface and corresponding Interface Control Document (ICD) is available to allow for automated data input.
RAS generates standard reports presenting MTBF calculations over the past 12 months, with trending (e.g. trend breaks) information considering 5 past periods of 12 months. These reports are generated quarterly and are available through the SDE dash board.
Additional RAS reporting will be produced and details will be discussed and agreed upon during the yearly SDE Users Conference at NLR in The Netherlands.
Available since October 2012…
As of 17 October 2012, the SDE Level 2 Reliability Assessment System service is formally up and running!
