The NH90 Supportability Data Exchange (SDE) information system provides the NH90 helicopter community with a service for a centralized multi-Nation shared IT service to jointly exploit NH90 supportability data. The objective is to support Continuous Airworthiness, Configuration Management and Integrated Logistic Support activities and to assess design and production information, if desired.

This NH90 SDE service operates at NLR in The Netherlands within a secure environment, enabling integrated input, web based access, storage, analysis and sharing of relevant NH90 helicopter data such as occurrences, incidents, reliability analyses, operational usage, structural integrity assessments etc. SDE delivers flexible features to the operators, such as a web based data processing software tool, a website and a web based forum.

NH90 SDE covers three basic functionalities:

  • an Occurrence Reporting System (ORS) to store and share technical occurrences or anomalies (events, incidents, issues, failures) for which no standard maintenance actions are defined
  • a Reliability Assessment System (RAS) providing the NH90 operator with the capability to analyze experienced failure rates of different helicopter components.
  • an Aircraft Integrity Management (AIM) module offering a structural integrity and fleet life management tool with a standard reporting facility.
